lyrics

Airplanes would send you away, over mountain tops and lakes. Forgotten words and old lost names, trip across the barren states. When I reach out and grab the moon, I wonder if you do try too. Summers here without you would hit hard enough to bruise. With this heart of glass, it’d break and I’d turn blue.
Most boats have only one speed, they pick you and leave. The waves carry the boat and they drift you out to sea. Follow the sun until it sets, leave the promises you kept. I’ll guess how far you’ve gone, and the hours that I have slept. You can always be with me and don’t forget.
Please remember where we were last year. A couple months shy of getting rid of fears. I raised my arms to show you the way. Let go of all your worries and please stay.
Summers here without you would hit hard enough to bruise. With this heart of glass, it’d break and I’d turn blue.
