Airplanes would send you away, over mountain tops and lakes. Forgotten words and old lost names, trip across the barren states. When I reach out and grab the moon, I wonder if you do try too. Summers here without you would hit hard enough to bruise. With this heart of glass, it’d break and I’d turn blue. Most boats have only one speed, they pick you and leave. The waves carry the boat and they drift you out to sea. Follow the sun until it sets, leave the promises you kept. I’ll guess how far you’ve gone, and the hours that I have slept. You can always be with me and don’t forget. Please remember where we were last year. A couple months shy of getting rid of fears. I raised my arms to show you the way. Let go of all your worries and please stay. Summers here without you would hit hard enough to bruise. With this heart of glass, it’d break and I’d turn blue.

Soothing sounds and old worn towns, fill the spaces in my head. A hint of laughter, deciding factor, I never want to go back to bed. I'd stay up late to plan my day, my brothers and sisters would listen. We'd wake up early, we'd rush and hurry, to hear our family in the kitchen. They don't tell you in school, that there's a life that's worth living. Miles away in a foreign state, just waiting for you to visit. I swear i'm not leaving. Skyscrapers, bags, and papers, waiting for the city to be heard. Spent a day of crying and lying, went to the mountain tops to watch birds. Family call home, laughs and pay phones. A large cattle farm off the highway. Feeling great and rid of hate, we got back to our house where I'll just stay.
